When you create an account we collect your email address, a chosen username, and a securely hashed copy of your password. We do not store your password in plain text.While you play, we record your question results (which question, your answer, whether it was correct, how long it took), powerup usage(Super Sure bolts, 50/50, refills, pause durations), achievements you unlock, question feedback you submit, and tag suggestions you make. We also log lightweight usage events (page visits, button clicks) to understand how the site is used.Our hosting provider (AWS) automatically logs the IP address of incoming requests for security and abuse prevention. These server logs are retained for a short period and not joined to your account profile.We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.Why we collect it
The data above is used only to operate the game: to authenticate you, save your progress, score the leaderboard, deliver achievements, prevent abuse, and improve the product. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.Who we share it with
Your data is stored on infrastructure operated by Amazon Web Services (database and application hosting) and is transmitted via Cloudflare / CloudFront for content delivery. These vendors process data on our behalf and do not use it for their own purposes.We will only disclose data to a third party if required by law or as necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of MaesTrivia or our users.Public information
Your username, level, total score, achievements, activity log, and match history are visible on your public profile and on the leaderboard. Your email address is never shown publicly.Retention and deletion
We keep your account data while your account is active. If you'd like your account deleted along with your gameplay history, send a request through the Contact page from the email associated with the account and we'll remove it.Children
MaesTrivia is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.Changes to this policy
